Shipping Information and Terms

Each piece of original artwork is personally and carefully packaged by me and it is my full priority to ensure all artwork arrives as safely as possible to its new home. You can be assured that every precaution is taken for the artwork to be fully protected during transit. (In other words, I pack my artworks so they can survive being dropkicked down a flight of stairs and then elbow dropped - because we all know how the postal services handle our ‘fragile’ packages!) I do also believe that receiving art should feel like opening a beautiful gift, so I do my best to make the packages that arrive on your doorstep look as beautiful and fun to open as I can, whilst also being as indestructible as possible haha!

While my Fine Art Prints are not packaged or shipped by me, they will come with a personalised touch, just as they would from me, with my logo on the outside, a note from me inside and each print comes with a digitally signed, branded and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

  • I am the only one running this small business, and I work hard to get all orders dispatched as quickly as possible. However, please allow up to 14 days (unless stated otherwise in the listing) for original artworks to be carefully prepared and sent from the studio. Each piece is packed with time, care, and attention to detail as I want to make sure everything is perfect!

    Once dispatched, an automated email is delivered to the email you provided at checkout and you’ll then have access to tracking information. Unfortunately, we are unable to promise precise arrival dates and thank you for your patience! I apologise for any inconvenience but, please be mindful that any shipping delays that may occur are out of my control and I am unable to speed up the shipping process for you.

    Liz M Clarke is not responsible for undelivered packages based on incorrect shipping addresses given by the customer. Please ensure that you provide the complete and correct mailing addresses at the checkout.

    If you need a change of address, I must be alerted within 24 hours of purchase in order to guarantee correct delivery. I am unable to change the address once it has dispatched from the studio or from our printing partners. Please contact me through the contact page or via email as soon as possible.

  • From the 29th August 2025, new U.S. import rules mean that all parcels, regardless of value, will need to go through customs.

    Original Artwork however, is exempt from these new Reciprocal Tariffs (HS Code 970191000).

    Unfortunately though, while the legal protection exists for Original Artworks, by all accounts from other artists and specialised art courier services, it has been hit and miss on whether the receiver in the U.S has been charged fees. This is due to customs enforcement being inconsistent, and the interpretation of tariff classification is ultimately left to the discretion of the officer reviewing the shipment.

    I have resumed shipping as normal, and will be meticulous with customs information, doing everything possible to ensure it’s a smooth experience without delays or fees when ordering original artworks. (Please note that fine art prints are already shipped from within the U.S. and are unaffected by these changes.)

    But please be aware that during this period of change, adjustment and the new system not being perfect, there may be instances of some artworks not being processed correctly. So if you do receive any unexpected tariff charges, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me so I can assist you in resolving the issue and I thank you in advance for your patience.

    If you order anything, please keep an eye on your email for updates, and check your junk/spam folders just in case.

  • There was a new version of the GPSR (General Product and Safety Regulations) that came into effect on the 13th of December 2024 and aims to ensure that products on the EU market are safe, and establishes specific safety obligations. This also applies to sales to Northern Ireland.

    There still seems to be a little bit of a grey area, as the information issued by the EU is not that clear, nor does the UK’s own Department of Trade and Industry have an actual specific answer to the question "What is covered?" and it is very generalised in both cases, but the advice I’ve been given is that this GPSR does not apply to me as the items I produce do not pose/pose a very low “safety risk” - which is what this GPSR is all about.

    This new guidance and advice has put my mind a little more at ease, and so I have decided to tentatively reopen my entire shop to my wonderful collectors in the EU and NI, and continue business as usual for the time being.

    As the updated GPSR regulations are still fresh and we are all adapting to their implications and enforcement, please keep in mind that I am learning throughout this process. I will of course, maintain open communication regarding any shipping changes or concerns, but I kindly ask for your patience if placing orders from these regions.

  • While it is currently almost impossible to be completely plastic free, I try to reuse and recycle as many packaging materials as I can and am always looking to implement more environmentally friendly alternatives to use within my packaging.

  • If there is an issue with your order, I won’t leave you hanging! If something has gone wrong, or your item wasn’t as you were expecting - I will do everything I can to make it right.

    I do my best to offer colour accurate photography of the artwork, but please be mindful that calibrations often vary between devices. If colour calibrations are of concern, I recommend viewing the item from multiple devices (desktop, iPhone, etc.)

    Damages and Issues

    Please inspect your order upon reception and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you have received the wrong item so that I can evaluate the issue and make it right. In the unlikely event of receiving a damaged artwork, please contact me with pictures of the damage.

    Please note that if the shipping address you put in your order is incorrect you will either need to go to that address to receive it or order again at your cost. Orders with the wrong address will not be issued refunds or replacements. 

    ​Exceptions/Non-Returnable Items

    Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as commissions) or original artworks, however if anything out of the ordinary was to happen during delivery or if you have an issue with your order, then you can get in contact here to discuss what I can do for you and if the artwork can be returned for a refund.
    Refunds may be offered at my discretion depending on the circumstances.

    To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

    If your return is accepted, I will send instructions on how and where to send your package. Return shipping will not be covered by the business. Once a return is received and found without damage your refund will be issued. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

    European Union 14-day cooling off period
    Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

    Refunds

    We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

  • My studio is located and operated in the U.K and is not liable for import fees on any products purchased. This includes but is not limited to the commissioning of a custom piece or original artworks.

    Any applicable taxes and duties are not included in the checkout total. These are determined by the customs agency in the destination country. Some countries charge import taxes while others do not. The customs agency will notify the recipient either by mail, phone, or email to pay these charges, so that the shipment can continue to its destination. 
    It is the responsibility of the customer to pay any duties, value added tax or other similar charges. If you refuse to pay these additional amounts, your delivery will be returned to me. Provided that the product is in its original condition, we will refund you the cost of your purchase (minus the costs of shipping to your country).

    Items are declared at purchase value for exporting and to customs, and under no circumstance will documents be falsified.

  • We deliver fine art prints and framed artworks to almost every country in the world. Should your address not be accepted at checkout, please contact us and we will try to find a solution.

    Orders are dispatched within 3-5 business days and would thereafter arrive within 1-2 weeks to the UK or Europe and in 2-3 weeks to North America. Other destinations may vary (please allow up to four weeks). You will receive a tracking number via email upon dispatch. All shipments are made using the most efficient and cost effective shipping route, via Deutsche Post, DHL, TNT, UPS or Royal Mail (for UK orders).

    Please be aware that any postal strikes may cause delays which are out of our control.

    Environmental policy

    We work with a fully end-to-end carbon neutral printing partner, so all prints and framed artworks (and their delivery) are certified carbon neutral.

    All papers and wood-based materials are sourced from Forestry Stewardship Council certified sustainable sources. Packaging materials have been carefully selected to reduce the impact on the environment whilst still ensuring your artwork gets to you in perfect condition. Plastics are kept to a minimum and all packaging materials are sustainably sourced, being a mixture of recycled, recyclable or biodegradable materials.

    Returns on damaged or lost artwork

    In the unlikely event of receiving a damaged artwork, please contact us within 48 hours with pictures of the damage. Once confirmed, we will endeavour to replace the edition, free of cost. In the event that we are unable to replace the edition, we will arrange a refund upon receiving the returned damaged artwork and corresponding Certificate of Authenticity (where applicable). Please note that if the shipping address you put in your order is incorrect you will either need to go to that address to receive it or order again at your cost. Orders with the wrong address will not be issued refunds or replacements.

    Customs

    We offer customs-free delivery to the UK, EU and US and customs duties are prepaid for Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Australia & South Africa, however, for other regions, you may have to pay a customs clearance fee as required by your port of delivery.

    How do I check the status of my order?

    Tracking information for your order will be supplied via email on dispatch, however if you’re having trouble finding this information, please contact us with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
